Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has received numerous awards for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Her work has received acclaim for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). She grew up in an artistic family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in arts. She began working as a photography assistant and then turned to acting and modeling. The actress was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising actor. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was an enormous success that earned her fame worldwide in addition to being an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies, MacGraw was named the top female box-office start around the globe. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
