Katherine Jean Bolduan, also called her professional name Kate Bolduan, is an American journalist. Best known for anchoring the CNN morning program At This Hour, Bolduan is an American broadcast journalist. She co-anchored CNN's weekday morning programs New Day and The Situation Room. Bolduan participated in the award-winning coverage by CNN of the presidential election 2012 and 2016. She has also served as a congressional correspondent based in Washington DC covering the activities of the US House and the senate. Bolduan, as member of the Capitol Hill Unit, reported on legislative cycles and congress activities, including talks to increase the federal loan limit and Super Committee discussions. Bolduan was an assignment reporter for general assignments, covering such reports such as Christmas Day 2009 bombing attempt and the Supreme Court's landmark decision regarding Obamacare. She also covered the government's stimulus plans in 2009. She began working for CNN Newsource in 2007. As an CNN Newsource correspondent, she was a reporter for breaking news and produced feature reports to over 800 CNN Newsource members.
