Kate Hudson, a talented actor known for her role in the Hollywood movie Almost Famous. It brought her an Academy Award nomination. Her birthplace was a clan of movie stars and seemed to have a natural talent to be in the spotlight. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is well-known for her film acting, and her father, Bill Hudson, is comedian. She was an avid performer from an early age and would jump at the opportunity to dance or sing on the stage. Her parents made sure she was getting dance lessons, and she did her training at the Santa Monica Playhouse when she was a kid. She started acting when she was offered a guest role in the TV drama Party of Five in 1996. She was accepted into New York University, however, Kate Hudson was more interested in pursuing a career in show business, rather than obtaining an academic degree. After appearing in a handful of minor films She was then offered the role that would prove to be her biggest breakthrough in her career. She was cast as Penny Lane in the comedy drama film Almost Famous. Though the film didn't do very well at the box-office, it was well received by reviewers and resulted in Kate an international star in the American movie industry.
